Bob Garrett served in the US Army, with two years on active duty and four years in the reserve. Mr. Garrett was employed by a bridge contractor in Knoxville and worked for an engineering firm located in Knoxville, designing water and waste water systems in East and Middle Tennessee. Mr. Garrett was approached by Morristown Water System for the position to operate the water system. After 42 years of service he retired in January 2009.
Garrett is a board member of The Daily Bread and a lifetime member of the American Waterworks Association. He represents Ward #1 on City Council. Garrett and his wife Barbara have 10 grandchildren.
