CORPORATION OF MORRISTOWN
JANUARY 11, 2006

The City Council for the City of Morristown, Hamblen County, Tennessee, reconvened the January 6, 2006 'called' session at the regular meeting place of the Council in the Morristown City Center at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2006 with Honorable Mayor Gary R. Johnson presiding and the following named Councilmembers present: Claude Jinks, William Rooney, Rick Trent and Mel Tucker; Councilmembers absent: Frank McGuffin and Kay Senter.

Mayor Johnson reconvened the meeting.

Councilmember Jinks made a motion to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Morristown and Colgate Palmolive, Inc. relative to location of a facility on Lot 44 of the M.A.I.D. Industrial Park. Councilmember Rooney seconded the motion and all voted 'aye'.

Councilmember Jinks made a motion to approve the action of the Industrial Development Board relative to a PILOT Agreement (Payment In Lieu of Taxes) with Colgate Palmolive, Inc. Councilmember Trent seconded the motion and all voted 'aye'.

Councilmember Jinks made a motion to authorize the Mayor to contact the Tennessee Department of Transportation concerning a State Industrial Access Road Grant for the Colgate Palmolive Project. Councilmember Tucker seconded the motion and all voted 'aye'.

Councilmember Jinks made a motion to authorize the Mayor to contact the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development concerning a TIPS Grant for the Colgate Palmolive Project. Councilmember Tucker seconded the motion and all voted 'aye'.

Councilmember Jinks made a motion to authorize the Mayor to contact the Appalachian Regional Commission concerning a grant for the Colgate Palmolive Project. Councilmember Trent seconded the motion and all voted 'aye'.

Mayor Johnson adjourned the January 11, 2006 meeting.
