It is unfortunate that our missing person investigation continues to be complicated by social media rumors.  Our focus is on finding Inesha Haygood and individuals wishing to gain attention to themselves by pretending to have knowledge of this case are hindering our efforts as we follow up on all information.

There has been no evidence to support the social media rumor of “serial” kidnappings.  It is our job to evaluate evidence relating to incidents and use facts and data to determine of cases are connected. 

A current case being investigated in which a lady indicates she was driven to North Carolina without knowing how she got there has no fact-based link to the case involving Ms. Haygood.

We once again ask that the focus remain on finding Inesha and not on unfounded rumors.
