Parks and Recreation

The purpose and objective of the City of Morristown Parks and Recreation Department is to provide year round wholesome leisure activities for all ages, neighborhoods and walks of life. The Parks and Recreation staff believes that a recreation and parks program should create a feeling of pride, a sense of worth, a picture of beauty, a sense of belonging, and satisfaction of accomplishment and the challenge of developing skills and abilities while providing the opportunity to grow both physically and mentally in an abundant and meaningful community life.
Morristown facilities include 2 recreation centers, 12 tennis courts, 9 softball fields, 5 Little League fields, 2 baseball fields, 2 football fields, 4 soccer fields, 4 outdoor basketball courts, BMX track, horse barn and ring, 15 parks and playgrounds with picnic areas and shelters that are maintained year round for public use.

In addition, youth and adult athletic leagues, classes, and special events are planned for both young and old on a continuous basis through out the year.

For great leisure time fun, we invite you to take part in our Parks and Recreation services.
