BOOfest

The City of Morristown's Parks & Recreation Department will celebrate Halloween with 'BOO Fest' on Friday, October 29, 2004 from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Fred Miller Park. The 2nd annual BOOfest promises to be a night of excitement and adventure for area youth ages 2-12.

BOOfest is free, however, all children must register to receive a map of trick or treat locations, a treat bag and a glow necklace while supplies last. The 2nd annual event features trick or treating along the trail, free popcorn and cokes. This year is we will include a costume contest for ages 0-12 years old as well as a contest for the best decorated participant booth.

1000 orange and black eggs will be hidden in the park for the HAUNTED EGG HUNT. Those children wishing to participate must bring a flashlight to search in the darkness for the 'lucky eggs'.

Last year 2700 people wondered through Fred Miller Park in search of a treat. We are still accepting registration forms from area churches, businesses, and organizations. If you, your business or organization want to be a part of this thrilling event please call Morristown Parks and Recreation at 423-586-0260 or visit us online at www.mymorristown.com
