Trash Collection

Trash in this context is any bulk item that you normally can’t put in your sanitation cart. Examples of items are: large boxes, appliances, furniture or remodeling materials. These trucks do not pick up on a scheduled day; the volume of trash along the routes determines the schedule. You may call the Public Works Department for an approximate time trucks will be in your neighborhood (585-4658). Trash generated from any work done by a professional contractor should not be placed at curbside for pick up. The contractor is responsible for transporting the debris to the landfill. Brick, block, concrete, rock, gravel and dirt are not considered household trash and should not be placed at curbside for pick up.

We hope this information is helpful. Please call the Public Works Department if you have any questions about our services. Contact us at 585-4658 during the hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday –Friday.
