City offices are open to the public. Visitors must enter through the main front entrance and will go through a screening process prior to entering to conduct business. City services are also available online or over the phone. See the listings below for various City service resources.

TAX PAYMENTS:

  • Residents can pay taxes and other fees either online HERE, by phone, or by mail.

  • Court Dates from March 23, 2020 to April 27, 2020 have been scheduled for June 29, 2020.

  • Public access to fires stations is Closed.
  • Car Seat installation checks have been suspended at this time.
  • CPR classes are not being offered at this time.
  • For Fire Reports, Burn Permits or to conduct any other Fire Department business, please call.

Crash Reports:

  • Crash reports will temporarily be obtainable from the MPD at no cost by email until May 11th.
  • For accidents that you were involved in that are filed with the MPD, email crashreports@mymorristown.com with the following information:
    • Copy or photo of your driver’s license or ID
    • Date of the crash
    • Case number (if you have it)
    • Last name of the driver involved
  • Crash reports may also be purchased online through the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security through their portal at www.PurchaseTNcrash.gov .

PLANNING/ZONING/CODES ENFORCEMENT (423)585-4620

  • Zoning verification letter request can be made via email to planning@mymorristown.com. After your request has been received, staff will prepare letter and email it back to you for your records. 
  • Home occupation applications can be obtained online HERE. Applications should be emailed to planning@mymorristown.com. After your request has been received and approved by a city planner, we will email it back to you for your records. 


INSPECTIONS

  • Permit applications can be obtained online HERE and emailed to inspections@mymorristown.com
  • After your permit has been received and approved by the inspector, we will email it back to you for a signature and then please return to us for our records. Payment for permits can be made via phone to the cashier's office at (423)585-4607

PROGRAMS & EVENTS

  • Spring athletics have been cancelled.
  • All Parks & Recreation activities and scheduled events have been cancelled through May. Other summer activities are being revised to comply with CDC guidelines.

PARKS & FACILITIES

  • City parks, including playgrounds and baseball fields, are open.
  • Basketball courts remain closed.
  • Talley Ward Recreation Center is closed and programming has been cancelled.

  • The Morristown Regional Airport terminal building is closed to the public.  The airport is still operational and continues to provide service to the City of Morristown and the aviation community.
