The Morristown Police Department would like to announce the retirement of police K-9, Dano.  Dano was recognized for his retirement on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the City Council Meeting. 

K-9 Dano has been with the department for over 10 years.  His partner has been Officer Paul Pressley for six of those years.  Like other MPD K-9’s, Dano was trained for narcotics detection, off and on leash obedience, area searches, building searches, tracking, officer protection, and criminal apprehension.

 K-9 Dano has had a successful career and has been used in various community events; he is retiring due to his age.  He will retire to a good home and be able to stay with his partner, Officer Pressley.  He will receive lots of attention and love.
