Hamblen County Ranks for Least Distracted Driving Crashes

A study was recently conducted examining where distracted driving accidents were most likely to occur across the state of Tennessee.

Notably, Hamblen reported some of the least distracted driving crashes in 2017 across the state, with 0.99 crashes per 1,000 residents compared to the state average of 3.91. This is a great sign of Morristown residents heeding warnings and law enforcement cracking down on this dangerous behavior. We ask that citizens please continue to take caution when driving. Put your phones down and remove other distractions that take your eyes off the road. A reminder also that state law prohibits any phone use, except for hands-free voice calls, when in a school zone. Let's continue to keep our roads safe and reduce the number of preventable car incidents.
