The purpose of the Purchasing Department is to obtain all purchases for the City with an open and equitable process.  Vendors will be selected by various factors including but not limited to quality of service, past experience, vendor’s experience and dollar amount.  Public notices for goods and services above $10,000 are publicized in the local paper and on this website.  The City is governed by the 1983 Municipal Purchasing law.
