SANITATION:

The sanitation division is charged with the collection of residential and small commercial house hold refuse using twenty yard semi-automated rear loading refuse trucks. The refuse is placed at the curb in ninety gallon roll out carts each week.
In the event of a holiday, refuse will be picked up the next business day. Carts need to be placed at curbside by 6:00 a.m. Please leave cart there until you are serviced.

RECYCLING: RECYCLING SCHEDULE
The City offers a commingled recycling program. Blue recycling carts are available, free of charge, from the Public Works Department by calling (423)585-4658. If not using a cart, recyclables can also be placed at the curb in any blue bag or container.

- Mail Magazines, Mixed Paper, Newspapers & Catalogs
- Paper & Paper Bags

- Plastic Bottles
- Up to (3) Buckets
- Cartons
- Empty Aerosol Cans
Items placed in recycle cans should NOT be put in plastic bags.
