MPD Welcomes Home Officer Alexander After Deployment

Officer Jason Alexander1The Morristown Police Department (MPD) welcomes home Officer Jason Alexander after his 13-month deployment.  Officer Alexander began his deployment for Operation Inherent Rescue the beginning of August 2022.  The 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Army National Guard, deployed to Syria, Iraq and Kuwait. He resumed his duties at the MPD in September 2023.

Prior to Officer Alexander joining the Army National Guard, he served with the Marine Corps for five years, deploying twice; this was his first deployment with the Guard where he serves as an infantryman. He has been with the MPD since December 2019 working patrol and serves as a MPD Spanish Translator.  While Alexander is not a Morristown native, he stated “I am glad to be back with my family and serving the community where I call home.” 

Morristown Police Chief Roger Overholt stated, “we are proud of Officer Alexander and all of our personnel who have and continue to serve in the military and we are honored to have them as part of our MPD team.
